Graduate School Education in Consortium

In this consortium, we aim for setting up a new life science education system by virtually integrating lectures and practices in each of the four universities. Each university has its own special subject and the consortium aims to integrate these subjects and the system aims for fostering students with wide perspective in life science. The consortium is now aiming for setting a common curriculum among four universities, for standardization of PhD degrees, and for joint meetings for faculty and staff development. The consortium aims for establishing a system that enables a life science graduate student in one of these four universities to have access to facilities and services of the other three universities under the agreement of Tokyo Interdisciplinary Life Science Consortium. The access may include lectures, internship in a firm, a plural tutors system and so forth.

In life science study, Ochanomizu University put stress on basic research and education based on material sciences. Ochanomizu University contribute to the consortium from the standpoint of basic sciences.
